As part of the Open Air Arts Exhibition, in-conjunction with the Derby Royal Hospital, invited artist from Banks Mill were asked if they would exhibit a selection of their work in order to enhance and improve the environment/atmosphere around the hospital. I offered a few of my images for the exhibition, primarily prints but also a couple of original mono-prints as seen below. It was a worthwhile cause and came at a time when my dad was in hospital for a few months seriously ill with cardiac problems. He did get first class care from all the staff at the Royal and positively commented on the artwork from other artists exhibiting. At Open Studios I also had a couple of patients from the Royal recognising my work and saying how much they enjoyed the exhibition from the collective at Banks Mill. I gladly donated the commission from sold prints to the hospital's Open Air Arts charity; a very worthwhile cause.
